Helmets on Kids teaches 2-V-1 rule
Marty Paul, health promoter with the Porcupine Health Unit, fits Peter Cazemier, 4, for a bicycle helmet at the Helmets on Kids rodeo on Thursday evening. A properly-fitted helmet follows the 2-V-1 rule. “Two fingers above the eyebrow, the ‘V’ around the ears, so it fits nice and snug around the ears,” said Paul, who was leading the team from lead sponsor Girones Bourdon Kelly Lawyers to fit helmets. “And ‘1’ is for the one-finger space underneath the chin.”
